Vote for Casket

with one comment

So I got this today from an old college buddy of mine and I thought I’d pass it along.  Apparently he has a real shot at winning a huge cash prize from Doritos and having his vido shown at the Super Bowl.  I’m not going to mention anything about the fact that I haven’t heard from him in for ever, but when he wants my vote he remembers me.  Lol.

Throwing Gabe under the bus.  Check.  You can find out more about Casket by clicking the link below.

Hi,

I need your help, for those that don’t know a commercial I wrote for the Doritos “crash the Superbowl” competition is currently a finalist; out of over 4,000 submissions Doritos picked the top 6 and the one I wrote is 1 of the top 6 finalists; it’s called Casket.
A group of friends of mine got together to brainstorm and workshop some ideas.  We decided to make the idea I had, so I wrote the original script, my friend Kevin Willson directed it and the pastor of our church put up the money so we could make it.
The next step in the competition is online voting.  Of the top 6 finalists the top 3 vote getters will be aired during the Superbowl!  If the commercial airs during the Superbowl and is rated #1 by the USA Today ad meter poll (meaning ranked #1 of all Superbowl commercials) we win 1 million dollars, if rated #2 we win $600,000 and if rated #3 we would win $400,000.
Here is the link to the Doritos website http://www.crashthesuperbowl.com/#/video/4374, again I wrote the one called “Casket”.  You can also go to www.voteforcasket.com for more information and some behind the scenes footage.
So to vote for it you will need to register; you can vote once per day from now until 01/31/10. The top 3 vote getters will be aired during the Superbowl!
An added incentive to register and vote is that Doritos will be giving away 2 Superbowl tickets a day to people who vote.
We were featured on the 10 o’clock Fox news last night and in USA Today, see below for the links to the new stories:
Please pass this to everyone you know and tell them to vote for Casket.
Thanks for your votes…I feel like a politician,
Gabe
